Jungle Cats

These are two concept characters I created for the world and story of,

These two characters are exclusively offered to Cardinal Danadrel to take or leave or use as he likes.


On the left:
Mama Bridget Zobop

Species :
jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi)

She is a midwife and voodoo which living amoug the Yawaras she maintains a precarious standing among the tribe mostly based on trickery and superstitious dread. She was not born or raised in the tribe. She originally lived in wealth plantation on the border of the jungle. She was a vindictive and spiteful girl and left the comfortable life of civilization to indulge her fascination with black magic. To her disappointment most of the witches she sought out to study under proved to be little more than pharmacist, con artists or would try to kill rather than instruct her. The Hungry for "real" power she met a strange traveler who showed her an unknown school of magical tradition. This included a spell that could return a vampire to it's natural state of death and decomposition.

Barely educated but drunk with confidence, she made a public display of turning a vampire nobleman into a rotten corpse before an astonished crowd. She had imagined this would establish her as a powerful whitch, what it did achieve was baring her from returning to civilized areas for fear of retribution from the vampiric aristocracy.

She now lives in exile in the Yawaras as a sort of secondary citizen and usually disliked member of the tribe. Her mysterious teacher called her a fool and disapered offering no further lessons.

Izquixochitl

Species :
margay (Leopardus wiedii) 

Izquixochitl was educated in a mission, both she and her parents had hoped to that by her learning to count, read, and write their tribe might establish trade relations with the boats that came up the river from the towns. These and other aspirations all died along with her family when a group of Yawara warriors raided and burned her small village. She was originally taken as a slave by one of the younger warriors who because of a facial disfigurement was unable to find a mate in his own tribe. He soon learned that her skills made her an unexpected asset and now claims her as a concubine. Izquixochitl has become very good at going through a motions of playing a demure servant but she plots in her heart not only to find a way to escape, but to ensure the man who took her captive will die in a manner that matches her scorn.

I have two more characters that I want to contribute to this work in progress for Dan. I really think it's fun to contribute ideas or help build on concept enrichment.

I'll usually help with any idea someone wants input on. I don't charge anything. It's just fun.
